RIP: ZAKES BANTWINI OPENS UP ABOUT HIS FATHER’S DEATH
South African musician Zakes Bantwini has accomplished so much in his career. In February, he flew the flag high for Mzansi alongside Wouter Kellerman and Nomcebo Zikode when they won Grammys for their hit song Bayethe. However, as the Osamo hitmaker’s career flourished, behind closed doors, he tried to come to terms with the pain of losing his father.
This Father’s Day, the iMali hitmaker opened up about his father’s death and said that he was still struggling to deal with the loss. On his feed, he shared a video from his father’s funeral and captioned it,
“ First Father’s Day without you and I am not okay .”
“This year I lost my dad after he was gunned down at home in-front of my family members Happy Heavenly Father’s Day to you Ngwane// Bhilibane// kajajela// kamajozi// wena wasobala// wase shashalazini// Khanyile. Lala ngo Xolo Shlangu Esihle ”
