Motorist ends up in excavated hole
Netcare 911 said: "Reports from the scene indicate the driver lost control, resulting in the car leaving the road and coming to rest in an excavated pit." An advanced life support paramedic attended to the man on the scene before transferring him to a hospital for more care.
On Beyers Naudé Drive, close to Judith Road, next to West Park Cemetery, on Friday evening, another driver was hurt when he crashed into a ditch that was allegedly left open by Johannesburg Water.
