Diepsloot Protest | Community Calls for presidential intervention
JOHANNESBURG - Diepsloot residents have vowed to return to the streets if President Cyril Ramaphosa ignores their pleas to come and address them.
A delegation was dispatched to the Union Buildings and demanded a meeting with the President's Office.
The protest that flared up on Tuesday evening about high levels of crime in the area, has been suspended, pending a response from the President's office.
Residents say they're tired of living in fear and want effective policing, to curb the high levels of crime.
