DJ Sumbody’s brother ‘receiving threats’ from Ayepyep co-owner
DJ SUMBODY’S BROTHER FEARS FOR HIS LIF
According to Sunday World, the murdered DJ’s business partner, Kagiso Setsetse, has kicked Koketso and his mother put of Ayepyep – the nightclub he co-owned with DJ Sumbody whose real name was Oupa John Sefoka.
The Suk’Emabhozeni producer was gunned down along with one of his bodyguards in a hail of bullets in Woodmead, Johannesburg, while on their way to a gig on 20 November last year.
A few weeks after, according to Koketso, Setsetse turned on him and said he doesn’t trust him. He says this was after he asked Setsetse to give his mother all information about the ownership of Ayepyep as she was appointed the executrix of the estate and they wanted him to buy them out.
“Setsetse is not what he portrays himself to be, and he’s got his reasons for leaving South Africa,” Koketso said.
Setsetse and his entire family have reportedly relocated to the United Arab Emirates, citing unsafety as his reasons.
“I don’t know what’s going on in the business. I have faced a barrage of intimidation and harassment from him. His lawyers sent me letters telling me to stay away from the business, and I did that,” he said.
