Joburg's corruption busters have no mandate - CoJ Speaker
JOHANNESBURG - The City of Johannesburg speaker Colleen Makhubele has given the go-ahead for an external preliminary investigation into the city's anti-corruption unit.
Makhubele has accused former executives of using the City's Group Forensics and Investigation Service to sanction bogus probes into councillors.
She says the corruption fighting unit was used by the city's previous DA-led administration to settle political scores.
