Rest easy, baby girl’: Pearl Thusi pays tribute to Mshoza
South African TV presenter and actress Pearl Thusi paid tribute to her late friend, Kwaito star Nomasonto Maswanganyi popularly known as Mshoza via an Instagram post shared on Thursday, 17 August, which prompted her fans and social media followers to send their condolences.

Mshoza died in November 2020 from diabetes complications at the age of 37, She reportedly previously had a health scare that landed her in hospital in 2014 when she was diagnosed with the chronic disease. At the time of her death, she was not married, however, she’s been divorced twice and sadly left behind two children. She is a Kwaito icon and made several hits and collaborations with smash hits including Kortes, Mshoza Bhoza, Ayina Chorus, and more.
It’s almost three years since she passed away and media personality Pearl Thusi has not forgotten about Mshoza. The Queen Sono actress has since taken to her Instagram to pay tribute to her late friend.
“Rest easy baby girl… think of you so often #ripmshoza,” she wrote on her feed.
After seeing her post, Thusi was praised for having a kind heart and genuine love for her loved ones. Social media users have also left heartfelt messages of condolences for the late Kwaito star in the comment section.
